Acuminor raises its first seed round from Brightly Ventures
Acuminor AB, a regulatory technology company based in Stockholm, Sweden, hereby announces raising its first investment round led by Brightly Ventures AB.
In a world where regulations on financial crime risk assessments are becoming stricter, Acuminor provides digital services for financial crime risk assessments and mitigating actions, thus making tier-1 expert knowledge available to everyone. The company’s services simplify fulfilling legal requirements in the countries where the clients operate.
“We want to do everything we can to help our clients truly understand how they can be misused for money laundering and terrorist financing by criminals as well as which mitigating actions they must take in order to prevent that from happening”, says Martin Nordh, CEO and co-founder of Acuminor. ”We are thrilled to have the Brightly Ventures team join us. Their investment, knowledge and network will enable us to further develop and rapidly deploy our services, helping more companies comply with the regulations and address a serious problem in global financial markets.”
“Acuminor has the components that we believe are crucial to success: an exceptionally driven team with top tier knowledge and the capacity to execute in a market with much room for digitalization. Money laundering amounts to more than 2.5% of global GDP annually and we are excited to back the Acuminor team in their important and intriguing mission of fighting a gigantic global problem”, says Kerstin Cooley, Managing Partner at Brightly Ventures.
Brightly Ventures will invest a maximum amount of SEK 15 million in this financing round.
